In 2019, Klarrio explored the possibilities of offering its employees more flexible compensation through a cafeteria plan. It became clear that many fringe benefits were already part of the standard package, but there was room for improvement in the area of mobility.

In 2020, Klarrio decided to further modernize its mobility policy. Following an information session and a survey among fleet users, 80% of employees expressed interest in a mobility budget.

The introduction of this mobility budget aimed to better address employee needs while offering a more flexible and comprehensive range of mobility solutions.

In the complex Belgian mobility landscape and to provide a forward-thinking offering of alternative transportation options, external expertise was welcomed.

“It started with the development of a mobility policy, which included the existing fleet. This policy served as the foundation for outlining the framework of the mobility budget.”

Both the management of the existing fleet and the rollout of the mobility budget were entrusted to MMBB.

MMBB's personalized approach helped Klarrio implement a step-by-step mobility budget tailored to its organization and philosophy. MMBB's expertise was fundamental in calculating the total cost of ownership (TCO) of Klarrio's vehicles, creating user categories and their rights, and defining the rules related to fleet electrification.

Moreover, MMBB ensures that Klarrio's mobility policy remains up-to-date and aligned with the rapidly changing fiscal and social legislation. They also provide fast and accurate responses to employee mobility requests and efficient interaction with mobility providers. Through this partnership, Klarrio gained time while also reducing management costs.

With 75% of Klarrio's employees actively participating in the mobility plan and 50% choosing not to opt for a company car, employee mobility needs were met while reducing Klarrio’s ecological footprint.
